Cry of the Hunters
At Last

I have ran and ran away from all these crazy savages after Samneric told them where I was hiding. I thought that hiding in the thicket was going to be a good idea it kept me hidden for a while before Samneric told on me and I was in danger while I was in there. It was scary being in there when I had Jack, Roger, and Samneric were pushing boulders, sticking there spears at the thicket, and lastly but most dangerous start the thicket on fire. That's were I had to come out.
I have to admit that piece of meat that Samneric gave me really gave me energy to run that much. I feel like Samneric traded me for with the wrongest person ever. Event though they had no choice to join Jack's tribe cause they were forced to, but I feel bad. I also feel bad, and scared when Samneric told me what Roger prepared a stick sharpened at both ends. After running and hiding all that time I came to my glory when I ran to the beach I found my rescue, there it was a Naval officer standing there with a fancy EPPAULETES. After I come to this, behind me Jack and some boys appear half naked in not very DRILL clothes with a spear in his hands running like a crazy savages. Another person that we thought that died and appeared was Percival Wemys Madison. He was there but for some reason he couldn't remember his name. After the Naval officer tells us he's very upset at us thinking that a group of kids like us who seem to be innocent are responsible for killing two kids and not knowing how many we were, basically for not being responsible. After all I had to take responsibility for all this. I was very DISTENDED after all this.

Dear Journal,

Right now I'm feeling like I should tell everyone how I feel about the following things: Ralph and Piggy’s discussion about what happened the previous night and their role in Simon’s death.
Jack’s rule of his tribe (including his treatment of Wilfred and their discussion of the beast “in disguise” as Simon).
Jack’s plans with Maurice and Roger.
Jack and his tribes attack on Ralph’s tribe.

Ok so starting out with Ralph and Piggy's discussion. I feel very loved when Piggy told Ralph the truth my death. I feel it wasn't in accident I think that they should think before they do their actions. Ralph I mean I know he cared about me too as well, I don't blame him for feeling like that. Cause I strongly believe that he was scared and he knows what he did but he is just scared to admit it.

Well what can I say Jack at last got what he wanted. I feel that even this meant lots of problems for everyone and the whole tribe together.. I feeli this is a moment of happiness for him. He must feel powerful. I think it's good that he took his decision so he could do whatever he wants, even though he used to. But I feel good that Jack is feeling good with his tribe. The only thing I don't agree with is that he ties up his own tribe.

I couldn't believe that Roger and Maurice wen along with it. I know Roger was Ralph's right hand but they should of again come up with something else than blinding Piggy.

The only thing that I have to say about his tribe stealing Piggy's glasses is that that's the only thing that was really messed up. I mean I know that's the only thing they need to become true tribe. But I believe that a true leader will come up with their own idea to make fire. I believe that it's not horrible that they stole it to have fire but what it is that they blinded Piggy.

Chapter 8
The scene when the Lord of the Flies talks to and threatens Simon
I chose this scene because I thought it was really freaky how the Lord talked to Simon. After that he technically made Simon’s death come true. I feel it’s very scary how Simon believes he talks to him. I feel that if I got my imagination running like his and getting to meet my really dark side I will get very scared. I think the freaks part is that only he got to talk to. One big wonder I have is will the others be able to see and think that?? Lastly I think that I think the scariest thing is that a pig made him realize some stuff. The wrong things, it’s also freaky how right after they talked he went to visit the beast. And later died…

Chapter 9: A View to a Death
I believe that the person that had the fault of Simon’s death was the Lord of the Flies. I really strongly believe that cause of his death was the chat between Lord of the Flies and Simon. The lord’s jeeringly pushed Simon to go check on the beast. His evil’s comments kind of got Simon on the right track to realize what was really happening. Also on the wrong track to take the right decision but wrong error. Overall I believe that Simons death was caused by Lord of the Flies.

* What is the game the boys play after spearing the pig? Who spears the pig? Describe the mood of the boys afterwards.
After Ralph went out o hunt for the beastie along with the hunters he added just a little more brine on this rough journey we’re having. I was told he hit the boar, with the spear. It’s like Jack’s desires of killing got Ralph. He was very excited along with the other kids!! I was also told they were playing around as if Robert a small kid was the pig, and they were about to kill him. So they did exactly as they do with a real pig. Except they were poking Robert with the smooth end of the spear.
* Jack suggests, “You could get someone to dress up as a pig and then he could act, you know, pretend to knock me over and all that.” Robert said that they need a real pig because it has to be killed. What does Jack suggest as a substitute? What does this foreshadow?
Jack suggested adding a littlun as the pig. He said the littlun could substitute its place. I really did not like that idea. I think Jack was saying that with lots of impervious even though Jack I have to admit has a very sagely mind for hunting. I believe this foreshadows two really bad things.
1: Jack wanting to kill a littlun. I say that cause of his comment he said just a few days in the meeting: “suck to the littluns.” That to me showed me he doesn’t want them alive since they don’t do much.
OR
2: Maybe this just foreshadows another littluns death.

* What evidence did the boys find to prove that there is a beast? (Why are they so gullible?)
The kids are so gullible of this beastie because Samneric’s description. They were totally the opposite of dun, I mean they used lots of windy language. The evidence that they have to tell us about the beastie is that…. They actually saw the beastie rocking back and…. forth. The people who saw it first was Roger, Jack and Samneric.
* How do you feel about the game the boys play after spearing the pig?
Like I said what they did of their acting to me seemed to be all a thing little kids will do. All I really hope for is that Ralph doesn’t turn into another Jack that the only important to him is hunting.

What sign comes down from the grown up world?
At night I was begging for a sign from the grown ups to survive this island. As I was sleeping in the night I see a great explosion in the sky. I was so suprised, but at the same time I felt excited. The sign comes down... A person flailing with a parachute comes down right after the explsion. I see the person coming down as it gets lost throught the forest.

Why aren’t the boys aware of it?

I was so suprised that this morning when Samneric came to tell me they weren't as waxy as I thought they will. But a reason anyone wasnt aware of this was because it was in the night. I thank god for this because I think that if the littleuns will have seen it they will act if they have seen leviathan.Another reason why no one is aware its cuz everyone is focoused on survivng the night.

Why are Sam ‘n Eric so terrified?

Samneric are so terrified when they come to tell me is cause they actually saw this thing that call it the beastie. They found it near the fire. Where they slept and stayed there to take care of the fire. So that thing was only a few steps away from there eyes. When they told me it was in a diffidently tone.

How do Sam ‘n Eric describe the beast?

Samneric described the beastie to the kids with long claws, wings, and some sharp teeth. From the description that they gave to the others it made it sound very guano.

What is the attitude of the boys when going off to look for the beast?
Well they reacted two diffrent ways.I though everyone should make a game plan. So it could be very safe. But on the other hand Jack as always with his mutinously attitude just wanted to act very fast quick. From my point of view very stupid.

Is there really a beast? How do you know?
Right now, were still on the look for this beastie. But I am starting to believ it and my evidence is last nights sign.

Do you feel that you are still the strongest leader on this island?
Right now I feel like Im one of the littluns. No one respects my rules. No one does there job. Most importantlyI dont get treated like the leader. Right now I feel that Jacks stupid choir and his meat are whats ruling this island. Because he provides them with something.

What kind of pressures and stress do you feel as the leader responsible for the boys?
The most stressfull thing at this point is of course the beastie. Thats what is frightning the kids and keeping us up all night. This I feel is the biggest pressure on me. I feel like Im resposible for taking care of them.

Do you like being a leader?

At first I felt some special power in being leader, but now.... I dont like it. No one like I said respects my place as a chief. Now everyone goes byt there rules. Do what they want. So really not excactly at this point.

Why is an assembly called?
This assembly was called today from Ralph. Because he felt that he had to talk to us. Even though I think its ludicrous to do this after the hunters and I went and succeeded at hunting meat. He called this assembly because he was almost lamentation that I accidently let the fire go out.
What concerns are brought up?
Ralph says that he worries about us. He says that were not working as a group. Were not being one that were falling apart. That we have to go back to our decorum. He also brought back our jobs he says everyone’s not sticking to what they say they were going to do.
How do you feel about those concerns?
Like I said I think it’s very dumb to do this. All we should worry about is having more food to eat. The only thing that does really bother me is that he is blaming me. I mean I know I let the fire go out but it was an accident. That the only thing that Im getting mad at. That he’s blaming me for an error with lots of tempestuously attitude. When I was just trying to do my job.
How are things breaking up (falling apart)?
The thing that’s breaking us up is that littluns. They are really starting to cause problems. The other thing is that stupid fattie, Piggy. Last time I hit him and I was jeeringly after him. The things that are breaking us up are the problems and that the littluns are breaking the rules.
Why do you think the littluns cry in their sleep?
Ralph keeps on saying that the littluns cry at night. They also say that it’s from the beastie. They say it’s a big snake. So far we believe they have taken a kid.
What do you think is “the dirtiest thing there is” about human nature?
Well Im not sure about the dirtiest thing but Ralph in the community meeting. He clearly told us that not using the lavotary is being a problem. That’s cause it contaminates our fruit.

Why do you hate Ralph?
I feel hate for R alph cause he didn’t take our job serious. He didn’t even say thanks for bringing something to eat.

Chapter 4: Painted faces and long hair

What things are you having trouble adjusting to on the island that are different from your life at home in England?
Well there are defiantly lots of things that have changed from my life at England to this island. The first thing I will defiantly have to adjust to are the fights. Jack or Ralph for example can sometimes have a very belligerence attitude. Today Jack’s belligerence attitude caused a big blatant fight between Piggy and him. Most of all this I believe will be the first thing I will have to adjust to.

How do you feel about the littluns?
I could see that the other biguns are not having much of patients. I recognized Ralph’s malevolently face very upset with them. But I feel that they are small so they don’t understand the situation were in. I think that the littluns think this a vacation or something alike. So for right now I kinda understand them.

What do they do with their time?
Like I said I think theyre thinking that’s this is a vacation. So while the biguns are trying to survive, the littleuns are having fun. They go swimming in the pool or beach, theyre building sand castles , having sand fights, eating fruit. They look there having so much fun that not even a cut with lots of gouts of blood will stop them.

Why do you all paint your faces?
Ralph came out with this theory that if we all painted our faces the pigs or our food will be easier to hunt. We are using this as a camouflage tactic. Ralph painted his face red and black with charcoal.

What does this foreshadow?
I think that with this technique we used that will bring us more meat. We did this of coarse for hunting. But I’m starting to believe this cause it worked. So I believe that it foreshadows more meat.

How do you feel when your face is painted?
I kinda feel like a fool like very clownish. But I believe that this will help us a lot. I feel that I rather look like a fool and get meat than no meat at all.

Why doesn’t the passing ship see you on the island?
We were so happy caus Ralph had claimed to see a ship on the horizon. We were all excited that we will get rescued. But next thing we know we climb up to the fire to see if the smoke will be able to see. We get there and no fire, no smoke. So the ship wouldn’t se4e us cause there wes no signs of us here in the island.

Why was the fire allowed to go out?
The fire was out for an acedint. Cause Jack and his choir were in charge of the fire. Since they went out hunting, and didn’t check on the fire before. When we got there it was out. So it was Jack’s mistake. But Ralph thinks it was Jack’s fault.

What is the overall mood on the island at this time?
Right now at this point there’s isn’t not much unity. Instead there are a lot of fights. That are very impalpable to me, but not much for Piggy. But here the biguns aren’t having a very good time like the littluns.

What do you predict will happen next?
If this keeps up I predict lots of big fights that we will spit up. And if this happened there will be big problems. Because they will be fighting over land, shelter, food, meat, and fruit. Mostly territories.

Do you think this is a good island or a bad island?
For now I think it’s a good island as me Jack and Simon found out. Because it has food, water, shade, bathing and shelter. It has or it is very ebullience. But I do think that just for now cause it has all the things I just named but sooner or later they will run out of things and people will start to get officious to get off this island.
2. What is the beastie?
The beastie is a huge, big snake a little kid claims to have seen at night. And today at the assembly shared with us that.
3. What does it symbolize?
I believe that the snake, the beastie symbolizes lots of martyred and danger. Or something real bad coming up.
4. How does it make you feel?
. That kinda is starting to worry me, but im still wondering that if there is truly one or not. But I’m still debating in to believe that little kid.
5. What is your plan for being rescued?
Me, Jack and Simon came up with a plan and thought it was a good idea to climb were we went to explore to the highest point and start a fire there so we could pinch some attention from people so that the smoke could be seen from far away.
6. Do you want to be rescued?
Right now like the other people I’m not very officious to get rescued, but I would like to see my father come and rescue us with his navy.
7. How did you start a fire and what happens to the fire?Well we started by adding some fire everyone even the little ones. Then Jack took off Piggy’s glasses to get the magnifying part from the sun and that mad the heat start on the wood and just started a fire quickly

9. How are you different from all the other boys?I’m very different because well first of all I’m very smart. Of coarse I’m the oldest and the leader of the whole squad. Im very different because I feel I am way more mature than the other smaller kids.
10. As you go to bed each night, what is going through your head? Are you afraid, excited, indifferent…? What’s going on inside of your head?
Well every night im just thinking if we will survive the next. But I am very excited that we get to act like adults that could handle our selves. Im also missing my dad who is in the Navy and stayed back home.

Chapter 1 The Sound of the Shell

Describe the setting of the island.This island is very awkward. There is barely any light and a lot of trees. Till now that we met Ralph and Piggy we noticed and discovered that we were in an island. Here the water is very warm, and very, very, sunny and hot. The island I covered in trees. Trees with plants all over, every direction. We also noticed lots of fronds around here.
2. What major event has brought you to this island?While we were flying in the airplane during War we got shot down and landed here. This is how we got here. We were flying away from home to a safe place and eventually survived the crash with my very effulgence mind, but we are now landed here. Lost with no adult supervision.
3. Introduce yourself and explain your relationship to the other characters (of interest) who have been introduced so far.
Well as you all know I am the precentor of the choir which have to wear a hambone frill around their neck. People say that I have a very strong personality also recognized as a jerk. I have so far met very well with Ralph which is the new leader of the squad. And also Piggy. The fatty, who is very smart, and insisted to come with us.4. Why are there no adults on this island?Because all of our parents stayed back home. The only people who were adults. And that were flying with us were the pilots. But there’s no sign of them being alive or around here. 5. What powers does a person holding the conch have? How do you feel about the conch? The conch is a very strong possession to have. Because to us anyone or anything that has that in power is the ruler. Well now all together have decided that Ralph the owner of the conch is very important. We thank the conch because of its powerful noise brought us all together.6. What is the choir’s job? How do you feel about the boys in the choir?I really like the choir cause I had them all in my power. They followed my directions strictly. Even though Simon always faints and turns tow but he’s the only weird one. And now that we all have joined and have became one, the choir are now the hunters.
IF YOU’RE JACK ANSWER =1. Why do you feel you should be elected chief?
I believed that I should have been elected chief because, I brought the choir. The choir is very strong, because I made them like that. Also because I am very bright and strong. And I possess a knife.2. Why couldn’t you kill the pig?
Because I’m very young. I couldn’t kill a living thing. Just imaging all the blood and the pain of the pig just stopped me. I believed it was like killing a live human. But I was kind of scared, but like I said next time the pig wont be lucky.
