Perspective of Dill
Dear Journal,
Today I got to Maycomb, Alabama, and I already met some kids. I met two kids siblings called Jeremy and Jean Finch. Jeremy goes by Jem, and Jean is a girl and she goes by Scout. I am pretty excited about staying here with my aunt Racheal, till the summer ends. Well I met my new friends, and they changed my name from Charles Baker Harris to something simple as Dill. They told me a story about a family that lived down the block from them. The family are called the Radley's. They say that no one came out of that house except Mr. Radley and that was to buy groceries. Untill, he died, then his younger son named Nathan took over the house. Nathan has an older brother called Arthur a.k.a "Boo." They say he never came out because his house was his prison. Arthur as a younger kid was supposibly in a gang and was sent to jail for stealing, he also committed another crime which involed his dad. He stabbed his father with a pair of sciccors. So now he stays in his house and never comes out. Rumors say that he eats cats alived and is always dirty and bloody. I enjoyed hearing from my friends this story so I thought it would be fun to knock the door and run. So i bet Jem to do it. I like my new friends and hope to have fun the summer that I spend here.
