journal #3

Journal #3-
Chapters 8 & 9
Perspective: Ms. Maudie

Dear Journal,
This weather in Maycomb is very bad. Eula May had to inform everyone that the children who went to school, couldn't attend it today because of the tormenting weather. It was pouring snow outside, ruining my beautiful garden. Today those adventurous kids came to my house and asked me if it was okay if they teetered some of my snow to their porch, though they didn't tell me what they wanted it for. After a while they had cleared my snow and pass it on to their porch, I found what they wanted it for. Those kids wanted to make a snowman that looked a lot like the Mr. Avery. They were trying to find a way to make an evasion to disguise him. So Jem Finch decided to take my straw hat. While the weather was horribly cold, probably the coldest time I could remember, those kids were having fun. Until... something very malignant happened to my home. From feeling the cold weather it went to something burning hot. That was my home burning down. It was a very unfortunate event, but I had the whole neighborhood's support. Everyone was trying to help put it out but it was too late. The men got most of the things out in a way.. I was kind of happy. Now I could build a little house with much more space for my plants and beautiful garden. I will make the neighbors best garden! The only thing I didn't like was quibbling to Jem and Scout about why I wasn't so upset.
